The Tertiary Scholarships and Loans Service (TSLS) has announced the opening of applications for the Fiji Government scholarships for the 2025 academic year, which began on the 2nd of this month.
Potential applicants are reminded to upload their Year 13 examination results along with the final offer letter from their chosen Tertiary Education Institution when submitting their applications. It is important to note that applications based on provisional offer letters will not be assessed.
Avinay Kumar, the Acting Chief Executive Officer of TSLS, emphasized that those who have not yet registered should do so promptly, as the application period will close on January 31 of the following year. TSLS encourages 2024 Year 13 students to apply as soon as possible, since some scholarships have limited availability.
Once applications are completed and submitted, they will undergo processing to evaluate eligibility. Applicants will receive notifications regarding their application’s status via the email they registered with and can also check their status online through the TSLS Application Portal.
TSLS advises students to make careful decisions when choosing their academic programs, urging them to consider the job market and opportunities available upon graduation.
In summary, students are encouraged to act quickly in applying for government scholarships, ensuring they are well-informed about their options and the application process. This initiative reflects the government’s commitment to supporting education and enhancing future career opportunities for students.
