The Tertiary Scholarships and Loans Service (TSLS) has announced that registration for the 2025 academic year’s Fiji Government scholarships began on the 2nd of this month, following the Year 13 Examination Results.
Students who have already registered are reminded to upload their Year 13 examination results along with the final offer letter from their chosen Tertiary Education Institution (TEI) to complete their application. It’s important to note that TSLS will not evaluate applications based on provisional offer letters.
Acting Chief Executive Officer Avinay Kumar has advised that those who have not yet registered should do so promptly, as the application window will close on January 31st next year. Additionally, he emphasized that 2024 Year 13 students should apply early, as certain scholarships have limited availability.
Once applications are fully submitted, they will enter a processing phase where they will be assessed against eligibility criteria. Applicants will be informed of their application outcomes via the email used during registration, and they can also monitor their application status through the TSLS Online Application Portal.
TSLS encourages students to make informed choices about their academic pathways by considering the job market opportunities available in their chosen fields. This guidance is pivotal in helping students align their educational goals with future career prospects.
As we look forward to the new academic year, this initiative signifies a commitment to supporting students’ educational journeys and enhancing their chances for success in the workforce. It is a hopeful reminder of the opportunities available for aspiring students in Fiji.
