Tailevu Naitasiri, Nasinu, and Lami FC have secured their spots in the semi-finals of the 2024 FMF Inter-District Championship Premier Division, scheduled for Saturday.

In a Group A match earlier in the day, Lami FC and Nasinu FC played to a one-all draw. The draw resulted in Nasinu, Bua, and Lami each finishing with two points and identical goal differences. However, due to Fair Play points, Nasinu topped Group A, while Lami FC took second place.

As per the match-ups, Tailevu Naitasiri will face Lami FC in the first Premier Division semi-final. The second semi-final will feature the winner of the match between Savusavu FC and Tavua FC, which is set to occur later today, against Nasinu at Churchill Park in Lautoka.

Additionally, Nadi FC kept their semi-final hopes alive with a convincing 4-1 victory over Nadroga in their Group B match earlier. Coached by Raj Dayal, Nadi led 2-0 at halftime thanks to goals from Siotame Kubu and Ratu Tulivou. Although Semesa Sacere scored for Nadroga, Nadi responded with goals from Ereniko Matau and a second from Siotame Kubu to secure the win.

Nadi’s coach expressed satisfaction with his team’s performance and is now awaiting the outcome of the Rewa vs. Ba match. Meanwhile, Nadroga’s stand-in coach, Sunil Kumar, stated that the final score did not accurately reflect the game, as his team squandered several opportunities.
