Youths aged 18 to 35 were responsible for the highest number of crimes reported last month. Acting Commissioner of Police Sakeo Raikaci announced that a total of 838 individuals faced charges for various criminal offenses.

Among those charged, 48 were juveniles, while offenders in the 18 to 35 age group accounted for 486 individuals. Additionally, 266 offenders were aged between 36 and 55, and 38 were aged 56 and over.

ACP Sakeo expressed concern about the involvement of juveniles in criminal activities, emphasizing that this trend negatively affects their education and future. He urged families and communities to play a role in guiding and mentoring young people to prevent further incidents.

As the festive season approaches, the Fiji Police Force plans to enhance its operations and calls for everyone to adhere to the law to ensure safer communities.
