Rikshal Dayal, a 30-year-old entrepreneur from Wailevu, Labasa, is making waves in the legal community with the launch of his own law firm, Rikshal Dayal Lawyers, which officially opened on Thursday. His office, situated at Savilla House on Jaduram Street, was established with an investment of $10,000.
Having graduated with a Bachelor of Law from the University of the South Pacific in 2019, Mr. Dayal honed his skills working for six years at Sarju Prasad Esquire, where he gained valuable experience. As the first lawyer in his family, he has long harbored the dream of opening a law firm to serve his community.
Despite being aware of the competitive landscape, Mr. Dayal is confident in his ability to deliver exceptional legal services. “I believe I have the ability to provide the best service,” he stated, highlighting his readiness to take on the challenges of entrepreneurship, including the inherent risks involved in starting a business.
Encouraging others amid concerns about job availability in Labasa, he urged individuals to consider entrepreneurship as a viable path to harness their skills and talents. He emphasized the rapid growth of Labasa Town, expressing a need for fresh entrepreneurs to contribute to its development.
Mr. Dayal expressed gratitude to his family, wife, and in-laws for their support during the setup of his firm. The office will be open Monday to Friday from 8 AM to 4:30 PM, and on Saturday from 8:30 AM to 12 PM, with one administrative staff member assisting him.
This story is a testament to the spirit of entrepreneurship and serves as an inspiration for others considering starting their own businesses, reinforcing the message that age should not be a barrier to pursuing one’s dreams.
A potential hopeful note could be how the establishment of new businesses, like Rikshal Dayal Lawyers, can stimulate local economies, create jobs, and inspire a wave of entrepreneurship in Labasa.
