Aanvi Prasad, a dedicated Year 8 student from Lautoka Central Primary School, has emerged as one of the top achievers in the 2024 Fiji Eighth Year Examination, scoring an impressive 491 out of 500 marks. Reflecting on her remarkable success, Aanvi attributed her achievements to hard work, commitment, and the sacrifices she made throughout the academic year.
“I always dreamed of being the highest scorer, and I put in the effort to make it happen,” she shared. The 13-year-old head girl emphasized the importance of setting timetables and staying focused on her studies. Despite facing skepticism from peers who believed that achieving the highest mark was unattainable, she found motivation through the support from her parents and teachers. Their encouragement helped her maintain hope even during challenging times.
Her father, Ronil Prasad, expressed immense pride in his daughter’s accomplishments. “I am a proud dad. The investment we made in her education has truly paid off. Witnessing such an achievement from our child is an indescribable feeling,” he said.
Looking ahead, Aanvi is excited about her future as she prepares to attend Natabua High School next year. Interestingly, she shares her top score with Viola Ravutubananitu, a student from Tagitagi Sangam School in Ba, who also scored 491 marks.
This story of dedication and success highlights the power of hard work and perseverance. It serves as an inspiring reminder that with commitment and support, students can achieve their dreams and overcome any obstacle. As Aanvi embarks on the next phase of her academic journey, she sets a positive example for her peers, illustrating that achievement is possible, no matter the challenges faced.
