Aanvi Prasad’s dedication and commitment have significantly paid off, as she emerges as one of the top scorers in the 2024 Fiji Eighth Year Examination. Enrolled at Lautoka Central Primary School, this 13-year-old student achieved an impressive score of 491 out of 500.

Reflecting on her success, Aanvi expressed that her journey involved making sacrifices and maintaining a rigorous study schedule. “It was my dream to be the highest scorer, and I sacrificed for it,” she stated. She diligently set timetables to boost her academic performance and communicated her aspiration of being a top scorer to her parents. Her hard work and commitment have clearly yielded remarkable results.

Discussing the challenges she faced, Aanvi noted that her peers often doubted her potential. “They always said it was impossible to achieve the highest mark in the final examination. Sometimes it made me lose hope, but I am thankful to my parents and teachers for encouraging me that anything is possible,” she reflected, highlighting the importance of support during her academic journey.

Her father, Ronil Prasad, echoed this sentiment, sharing his pride in Aanvi’s accomplishments. “I am a proud dad. It was a great investment that we as parents made in our daughter’s education. We have seen the fruit of it. It is a different feeling as a parent to experience such an achievement from our children,” he said.

Looking ahead, Aanvi plans to continue her education at Natabua High School next year. Additionally, it is worth noting that Viola Ravutubananitu from Tagitagi Sangam School in Ba also secured an impressive score of 491 marks, showcasing a competitive spirit in the examinations.

In summary, Aanvi Prasad’s story exemplifies the impact of hard work, determination, and support from family and educators in achieving academic excellence. Her journey not only inspires fellow students but also reinforces the notion that with perseverance, dreams can indeed become reality.
