The diligent Year 8 student from Lautoka Central Primary School achieved an impressive score of 491 out of 500. Reflecting on her journey, Aanvi expressed how her commitment to her studies and the sacrifices she made throughout the year contributed to her success.
“It was my dream to be the highest scorer, and I sacrificed for it,” she revealed. By meticulously organizing her timetable and prioritizing her schoolwork, Aanvi set a clear path toward achieving her goals. Over the past year, she communicated to her parents her aspirations of being a top scorer, and with determination, she fulfilled that dream.
Despite the challenges posed by her competitors, Aanvi maintained her focus. The doubts expressed by others about the possibility of attaining the highest score sometimes tested her resolve. However, with the unwavering support from her parents and teachers, she found motivation in their encouragement, reinforcing her belief that anything is possible.
Her father, Ronil Prasad, expressed immense pride in Aanvi’s accomplishments. “I am a proud dad. It was a great investment that we as parents made in our daughter’s education. We have seen the fruit of it. It is a different feeling as a parent to experience such an achievement from our children,” he stated, highlighting the emotional fulfillment that accompanies parenting.
Looking ahead, Aanvi plans to continue her academic journey at Natabua High School next year. In a remarkable coincidence, Viola Ravutubananitu from Tagitagi Sangam School in Ba also scored 491 marks, showcasing the impressive talent among students in Fiji.
This achievement not only underscores the importance of dedication and commitment in education but also serves as an inspiration for others. Young students across Fiji can take heart from Aanvi’s story, knowing that with hard work and resilience, their dreams are achievable.
