Rikshal Dayal, a 30-year-old entrepreneur from Wailevu, Labasa, has taken a bold step in his career by launching his own law firm, Rikshal Dayal Lawyers, in Labasa Town. Located at Savilla House on Jaduram Street, Dayal made a substantial investment of $10,000 to establish his office, which is set to operate from Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 4:30 PM, and Saturday from 8:30 AM to 12 PM.
Having graduated with a Bachelor of Law from the University of the South Pacific in 2019, Dayal honed his legal skills over six years with Sarju Prasad Esquire before deciding to pursue his dream of serving his community through his own firm. “Becoming the first lawyer in my family inspired me to start my own law practice,” he stated. “I am aware of the competition, but I am confident in my ability to offer exceptional service to my clients.”
Dayal recognizes the inherent risks of entrepreneurship but expresses readiness to face them. He advocates for others in Labasa, encouraging individuals to leverage their skills and talents to start their own businesses, especially as opportunities seem limited in the area. He highlights the rapid growth of Labasa Town, emphasizing the need for new entrepreneurs to contribute to its development.
In setting up his firm, he expressed gratitude to his family, wife, and in-laws for their support, underlining the importance of a strong support system in achieving one’s entrepreneurial goals.
This story serves as an inspiring reminder that age should not be a barrier to pursuing one’s dreams. Rikshal Dayal’s journey encourages others in similar situations to take initiative and transform their aspirations into reality, illustrating that with determination and hard work, anyone can make a positive impact on their community.
