Rikshal Dayal, a 30-year-old from Wailevu, Labasa, has taken a bold step in his career by launching his own law firm, Rikshal Dayal Lawyers, in Labasa Town. Located in Savilla House on Jaduram Street, Mr. Dayal invested $10,000 to establish the office.
After graduating with a Bachelor of Law from the University of the South Pacific in 2019, he gained valuable experience working for six years at Sarju Prasad Esquire. As the first lawyer in his family, Mr. Dayal expresses a strong passion for serving his community, stating, “I always dreamt of having my own law firm to serve my people in the hometown.”
While he is cognizant of the challenges in the competitive legal environment, he remains confident in his skills to deliver excellent legal services. He emphasizes the importance of entrepreneurial spirit, encouraging others in Labasa, especially amid conversations about limited job opportunities, to harness their talents and start their own businesses.
In Mr. Dayal’s view, Labasa is rapidly evolving, and there is a pressing need for new entrepreneurs to contribute to its growth. His law office will operate weekdays from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM and Saturdays from 8:30 AM to 12:00 PM, initially employing one administrative staff member.
