Rikshal Dayal from Wailevu, Labasa, is proving that age is just a number when it comes to entrepreneurship. At just 30 years old, he inaugurated his own law firm, Rikshal Dayal Lawyers, in Labasa Town on Thursday.
His firm is located at Savilla House, Jaduram Street, shop number 14, and Mr. Dayal made a significant investment of $10,000 to establish his office. After earning his Bachelor of Law degree from the University of the South Pacific in 2019, he spent six years gaining valuable experience at Sarju Prasad Esquire.
Becoming the first lawyer in his family was a proud milestone for Mr. Dayal. He always aspired to own a law firm that would serve his community. “I am well aware of the competitive landscape within the legal field, but I am confident that I can provide the best service,” he stated.
Mr. Dayal acknowledged the risks associated with starting a business, but he feels prepared for the challenges ahead. He encourages others who may feel there are no job opportunities in Labasa to channel their skills and talents into entrepreneurship. He believes that with Labasa Town’s rapid growth, there is a need for new entrepreneurs to step forward.
He expressed his gratitude to his family, wife, and in-laws for their support in launching the firm, which will operate from Monday to Friday between 8:00 AM and 4:30 PM, and on Saturdays from 8:30 AM to 12:00 PM.
This story exemplifies the entrepreneurial spirit and the belief that anyone, regardless of age, can pursue their dreams and contribute positively to their community. Mr. Dayal’s journey is an inspiration to many aspiring business owners, highlighting the importance of community support in achieving success.
