Rikshal Dayal from Wailevu, Labasa, emphasizes that starting a business knows no age limit. At just 30 years old, he took a significant step by launching his own law firm, Rikshal Dayal Lawyers, in Labasa Town. The firm officially opened its doors on Thursday, located at Savilla House on Jaduram Street, shop number 14, with an investment of $10,000.

Mr. Dayal, who graduated with a Bachelor of Law from the University of the South Pacific in 2019, spent six years honing his skills at Sarju Prasad Esquire before venturing out on his own. He takes pride in being the first lawyer in his family and has always aspired to open a law firm to serve his community.

“I am aware of the competition from other law firms, but I have confidence in my ability to provide the best service,” Mr. Dayal stated. He recognizes that every business carries inherent risks, but he feels ready to face them. Additionally, he encourages others in Labasa to consider entrepreneurship rather than waiting for job opportunities, highlighting that the town is rapidly growing and requires new business ventures.

Expressing gratitude, he thanked his family, wife, and in-laws for their support in establishing his firm. The law office will operate Monday to Friday from 8 AM to 4:30 PM and Saturday from 8:30 AM to 12 PM, staffed by Mr. Dayal and one administrative assistant.

This story illustrates the entrepreneurial spirit and the potential for positive change within local communities. Mr. Dayal’s journey serves as an inspiring example of how ambition and dedication can lead to success, especially in an evolving town like Labasa. His encouragement for others to pursue their business dreams highlights the importance of individual initiative in fostering economic growth.
