Rikshal Dayal, a 30-year-old from Wailevu, Labasa, has taken a bold step into entrepreneurship by establishing his own law firm, Rikshal Dayal Lawyers, in Labasa Town. The firm officially opened its doors on Thursday and is located at Savilla House, Jaduram Street, shop number 14, demonstrating that age is merely a number when it comes to pursuing one’s dreams.
Mr. Dayal invested $10,000 to set up his practice, fueled by a desire to serve his local community. After earning his Bachelor of Law from the University of the South Pacific in 2019, he accumulated six years of valuable experience at Sarju Prasad Esquire. “Becoming the first lawyer in my family inspired me to fulfill my dream of opening my own law firm,” he expressed.
Despite the competitive legal market, Mr. Dayal is confident in his ability to deliver exceptional service. “I am aware of the risks involved in starting a business, but I am ready to embrace those challenges,” he stated. He encourages others in Labasa, even amidst concerns about job availability, to leverage their skills and consider entrepreneurship as a viable option.
Mr. Dayal noted that Labasa Town is experiencing rapid growth, highlighting the necessity for new business ventures. He expressed gratitude to his family, wife, and in-laws for their support in launching the firm.
The law office will operate Monday to Friday from 8 am to 4:30 pm and Saturday from 8:30 am to 12 pm, staffed by Mr. Dayal and one administrative team member.
