Rikshal Dayal, a 30-year-old entrepreneur from Wailevu, Labasa, is breaking new ground by launching his own law firm, Rikshal Dayal Lawyers, in Labasa Town. His firm officially opened its doors on Thursday in Savilla House, located at shop number 14 on Jaduram Street, following an investment of $10,000 to establish his business.
Having graduated with a Bachelor of Law from the University of the South Pacific in 2019, Mr. Dayal gained valuable experience during his six years of employment with Sarju Prasad Esquire. As the first lawyer in his family, he has long aspired to create his own law practice to serve the local community.
Despite being aware of the competitive landscape that includes several established law firms, Mr. Dayal expressed confidence in his ability to provide exceptional legal services. He reflects an optimistic and determined mindset, recognizing that any business venture carries inherent risks, but he feels fully prepared to navigate those challenges.
Encouraging others who may be disheartened by the job market in Labasa, Mr. Dayal advocates for entrepreneurship and the utilization of individual skills and talents. He emphasizes that Labasa Town is experiencing rapid growth, which calls for new business ventures and fresh entrepreneurs.
With gratitude, he acknowledged the support of his family, wife, and in-laws who helped him in setting up his business. Rikshal Dayal Lawyers will operate with one administrative staff member, welcoming clients from Monday to Friday, 8 am to 4:30 pm, and on Saturday from 8:30 am to 12 pm.
This inspiring story illustrates that ambition and hard work can lead to new opportunities, making a positive impact on the local community while promoting entrepreneurship as a viable path forward amidst economic challenges.
Overall, Mr. Dayal’s initiative serves as an encouraging reminder that youth and aspiration can lead to meaningful contributions to society, motivating others to take a leap of faith in pursuit of their dreams.
