At just 30 years old, Rikshal Dayal from Wailevu, Labasa has taken a significant step in his career by launching his own law firm, Rikshal Dayal Lawyers, in Labasa Town. The firm, located at Savilla House on Jaduram Street, commenced operations on Thursday following an investment of $10,000 to establish the office.
Mr. Dayal, who graduated with a Bachelor of Law from the University of the South Pacific in 2019, previously worked for six years at Sarju Prasad Esquire, where he gained invaluable experience in the legal field. As the first lawyer in his family, Mr. Dayal has long aspired to create a law firm that serves his local community.
Acknowledging the competitive nature of the legal profession, Mr. Dayal expressed confidence in his ability to provide top-notch service to his clients. He recognizes that entrepreneurship comes with its risks but is fully prepared to face them. “While many believe there are limited job opportunities in Labasa, I urge individuals to harness their skills and start their own businesses,” he said.
Mr. Dayal emphasized the rapid growth of Labasa Town and the increasing need for new entrepreneurs to contribute to its development. He credits his family, wife, and in-laws for their support in launching the firm.
The law office will operate Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM and on Saturdays from 8:30 AM to 12:00 PM, with one administrative staff member assisting Mr. Dayal.
