Muizz Mujib Buksh has achieved remarkable recognition at the Vunimoli Islamia College (VIC) prizegiving ceremony, thanks to his discipline and passion. As the head boy and a Year 13 student at VIC in Labasa, Muizz received several prestigious awards, including the Leadership Award, the highest academic achievement in Agricultural Science, an athletics award, and a special commendation for his involvement with the school’s football team.
His athletic achievements are particularly impressive; Muizz won a gold medal in the 3000 metres at the Macuata athletics zone two competition and made it to the finals of the 3000 metres at the Coca-Cola Games. He attributes his ability to balance his academic and athletic commitments to the strong support and guidance of his parents.
Muizz strongly believes in the mantra that “nothing is impossible,” which fuels his ambition to inspire his peers to pursue their dreams while proudly representing their school. He expresses immense gratitude for the encouragement he has received from teachers, peers, and his family. Looking ahead, Muizz aspires to become a veterinarian and has applied to Massey University in New Zealand to continue his education next year.
