Yogesh Karan, the Permanent Secretary for Multi-Ethnic Affairs and Sugar Industry, has announced his resignation, which will take effect on November 1, 2024. Public Service Commission Chairman Luka Rokovada confirmed that Karan will be pursuing a career in national and international development with an international organization based in Fiji.

Karan has dedicated over 20 years of service to the Fijian Government, holding various senior positions. His previous roles include serving as High Commissioner to India, as well as Permanent Secretary for the Office of the Prime Minister and for Foreign Affairs, Immigration, and Sugar Industry.
