Yogesh Karan, the Permanent Secretary for Multi-Ethnic Affairs and Sugar Industry, has officially announced his resignation, which will take effect on November 1, 2024. This was confirmed by Public Service Commission Chairman Luka Rokovada, who stated that Karan plans to advance his career in national and international development with an international organization based in Fiji.
Karan has dedicated over 20 years to the Fijian Government, holding several senior positions. His previous roles include serving as High Commissioner to India, as well as Permanent Secretary for the Office of the Prime Minister and for Foreign Affairs, Immigration, and Sugar Industry.
