Yatule Resort Unveils $10 Million Transformation Ahead of Grand Reopening

The newly renovated Yatule Resort and Spa, situated on Natadola Beach, is poised to officially reopen on Monday after undergoing a $10 million upgrade.

A recent visit by Tourism Fiji’s team revealed their enthusiasm for the resort’s refreshed look. “Kudos to Damend and his team for the transformation, and we look forward to the official opening on September 9,” remarked Brent Hill, the chief executive officer of Tourism Fiji.

Hill emphasized that such investments highlight a bright future for Fiji’s tourism sector, drawing in both domestic and international investors. He noted that these investments not only create job opportunities but also promote growth in related industries, showcasing the strong interest in Fiji’s tourism.

Damen Goundar, the resort’s managing director, announced that they are fully booked for September and expressed excitement about hosting the upcoming event, “Tourism Share: A Collaborative Evening.” This event will gather prominent figures from the tourism industry, including Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Finance Biman Prasad, Minister for Tourism and Civil Aviation Viliame Gavoka, and Minister for Trade Manoa Kamikamica, to discuss key trends and emerging opportunities in the sector.

Staff members, who were temporarily assigned to sister properties during the renovation, are set to return as the resort prepares for its reopening.
