The Yatule Resort and Spa, situated on Natadola Beach, is preparing for its official reopening on Monday after undergoing a $10 million renovation.
Tourism Fiji’s team recently visited the resort and praised its new look. Brent Hill, the CEO of Tourism Fiji, expressed his appreciation for the transformation led by managing director Damen Goundar and his team. He emphasized that such renovations signify a bright future for Fiji’s tourism sector, drawing interest from both local and international investors.
Hill further noted that investments in tourism not only generate jobs but also promote growth in related industries, highlighting the confidence investors have in Fiji’s tourism potential.
Damen Goundar announced that the resort is fully booked for September and expressed enthusiasm for hosting the event “Tourism Share: A Collaborative Evening.” This gathering will feature prominent figures from the tourism sector, including Deputy Prime Ministers and Finance Minister Biman Prasad, Tourism and Civil Aviation Minister Viliame Gavoka, and Trade Minister Manoa Kamikamica, who will discuss vital trends and upcoming opportunities in the industry.
The resort’s staff, who were temporarily assigned to other properties during the renovations, are ready to return as the opening day approaches.
