He expressed anticipation for the official opening on September 9, noting that such developments reflect a bright future for Fiji’s tourism sector, which is drawing interest from both local and international investors.
Hill emphasized that these investments not only generate employment but also foster growth in related industries, showcasing the confidence investors have in Fiji’s tourism potential. Meanwhile, Goundar announced that the resort is fully booked for September and expressed enthusiasm for hosting the ‘Tourism Share: A Collaborative Evening,’ which will feature prominent figures in the tourism field.
This event will include key policymakers such as Deputy Prime Ministers and Finance Minister Biman Prasad, Tourism and Civil Aviation Minister Viliame Gavoka, and Trade Minister Manoa Kamikamica, who will discuss important trends and future prospects in the tourism industry. The resort’s staff, who were temporarily assigned to other properties during the renovations, are preparing to return as the resort approaches its reopening.
