Boxer Maureen Neumia is urging women across the country to embrace the sport of boxing. She shared that her journey began in 2019, inspired by her husband Fred Chand, who promotes South Pacific Boxing Promotion.
Neumia encourages women to explore boxing, noting their success in various sports. The 37-year-old has been diligently preparing for her upcoming fight against Amo Wati, scheduled for Saturday at Prince Charles Park in Nadi.
“I’ve been working really hard and hopefully everything will go according to plan in the ring. I’ve been training with my son, so I feel well-prepared,” she stated.
She also urged boxing enthusiasts to attend the event on Saturday, where three International Boxing Organisation (IBO) Asia Pacific titles will be contested.
