A woman has been arrested and is currently in police custody for allegedly operating an unlicensed liquor sales business in Tacirua. Officers from the Valelevu Police Station carried out a raid last night at a shop suspected of selling liquor without the necessary permits, during which they confiscated over 100 containers and bottles of alcoholic beverages. The 24-year-old woman was apprehended at the scene and is being held as investigations continue. Assistant Commissioner of Police Operations, Livai Driu, stated that such illegal activities often lead to other criminal behavior, and the police’s efforts are aimed at disrupting these unauthorized markets.
