Fijian winger Vinaya Habosi, who was recently recalled after a domestic violence investigation, made an impact by scoring as Racing 92 triumphed over Vannes in the French Top 14 on Saturday.
Habosi’s goal in the first half came just weeks after he was arrested following a dispute with his wife. The 24-year-old player has faced disciplinary action from Racing 92 and is now required to participate in a domestic violence program.
His contribution helped Racing come from behind to secure a 27-24 victory, marking their second win in five matches this season, which alleviated some pressure on head coach Stuart Lancaster, a former coach for England and Leinster. Meanwhile, Vannes, facing their first season in the top division, remain at the bottom of the standings after suffering their fourth loss of the season.
