“Where Are the Future Leaders? PA’s Call to the Young”

As the People’s Alliance (PA) party prepares for the 2026 General Election, party leader and Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka has called on members to consider new leadership. During the party assembly in Lautoka, Mr. Rabuka encouraged young leaders to become involved in advancing the PA.

“Where are the young leaders who are going to take this party forward?” he asked. He emphasized the importance of thinking about succession not only at the presidential level but also at executive and political levels within the party.

Mr. Rabuka stressed that the party needs to unite in its efforts to gain voter support ahead of the upcoming elections. “We will tell the people what we want to do for you and for the country. Vote for us,” he stated.

He further noted that the PA must demonstrate a tangible agenda, underlining that simply making promises is not sufficient. “If we have those things to do, we must have the power to do it and we must get into power, not just get into office,” he said.

The Prime Minister reminded PA members that their ultimate aim should be to serve all Fijians. “As our party name reflects, it is a People’s Alliance. The people come together and are aligned. We are an alliance and a friendship of people. We have common objectives and we lead in accordance with the will of the people, guided by the will of God for the betterment of the country.”
