The Ministry of Education is closely watching the current weather developments and how they may affect the Year 13 National Examinations set to begin tomorrow.
Line Minister Aseri Radrodro stated that they will provide prompt updates to guarantee the safety and well-being of all students and staff involved in the exams.
Radrodro mentioned that they will monitor the situation carefully and offer updates based on information from the National Disaster Management Office (NDMO).
He has advised parents and guardians to pay attention to weather reports and take necessary precautions to ensure their children’s safety.
The Disaster Risk Reduction unit of the Ministry is actively tracking the weather conditions.
Additionally, Radrodro encouraged Divisional and District officers to work with school leaders to ensure that all schools and facilities are secured and that children’s safety is prioritized.
All school heads have been reminded to release students only to their parents or guardians when it is deemed safe to do so.
