Weather Concerns Rise as Year 13 Exams Approach

The Ministry of Education is closely observing the weather conditions and their potential effects on the Year 13 National Examinations, which are set to begin tomorrow.

Line Minister Aseri Radrodro stated that timely updates will be provided to ensure the safety and welfare of all students and staff involved in the examinations.

He added that the situation will be monitored carefully, with updates being issued based on guidance from the National Disaster Management Office (NDMO).

Radrodro also advised parents and guardians to pay attention to weather updates and to take necessary precautions for their children’s safety.

The Ministry’s Disaster Risk Reduction team is actively tracking the weather conditions.

Radrodro urged divisional and district officers to work alongside school heads to secure all schools and facilities, ensuring the safety of students.

Additionally, school heads have been instructed to release children only to their parents or guardians when it is safe to do so.
