Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka has pledged that 80 families residing in the Korovuto Settlement, Nadi, will soon gain access to Fiji’s water reticulation system. During a visit to the settlement on Saturday, Mr. Rabuka learned that residents have faced ongoing water issues for over 13 years, primarily relying on boreholes that provide unsafe drinking water.

“The reliance on boreholes with unsafe water is a significant concern for the 80 families living there,” Mr. Rabuka stated. He emphasized that the government is taking steps to rectify this situation and is committed to ensuring that all communities have access to safe and clean water.

This initiative underscores the government’s dedication to improving living conditions and public health for the residents of Korovuto Settlement. By prioritizing access to safe water, this move could lead to significant improvements in the quality of life for families in the area.

The promise of connection to the water reticulation system offers hope for a brighter, healthier future for the families affected by the prolonged water challenges.

Overall, this action reflects a proactive approach from the government and illustrates the importance of infrastructure development in addressing basic human needs.
