Korotogo Andhra Sangam Primary School in Nadroga recently received a significant boost to their extra-curricular activities, thanks to a donation of $2000 from the Warwick Fiji Resort.
School manager Ramesh Naidu expressed gratitude towards the resort for their support in their maintenance project. He highlighted the importance of such contributions, stating, “There is one way for the resort to reconnect with the community which is to assist the school with funds for the sponsorship of the scout’s jamboree, and the team’s mathematics competition team which they participated and reached the finals for the very first time.” Mr. Naidu emphasized that the donation would greatly benefit the students.
Nitin Goundar, Warwick Fiji’s director of Human Resources, mentioned that the donation is part of their corporate social responsibility outreach program. The school serves over 550 students.
Additionally, the school has also expressed thanks to the ‘Daughters of Charity’ for providing library books for their kindergarten. Mr. Naidu remarked, “We appreciate donations to our Andhra Kindergarten. It is all for the betterment of the students.”
