Wakaya Perfection is set to make a significant impact in the United States with its products being showcased on the Home Shopping Network (HSN), which has a live broadcast reach of over 900 million households. The company, founded by the late David Gilmour of Fiji Water and business partner David Roth, maintains a strong brand presence for Fiji both in the U.S. and internationally.
David M. Roth, the co-founder and CEO, emphasized the company’s connection to Fiji, noting its specialization in organic, kosher, and halal products, including ginger and turmeric. These products will be marketed worldwide with a focus on proper processing and packaging. Roth expressed the aim of developing Fiji’s agricultural sector by exporting high-end, processed organic products, such as kava and sea salt, aligning with the wishes of both himself and the late Gilmour.
The Home Shopping Network, based in St. Petersburg, Florida, is the first television shopping network and targets a predominantly female audience aged 25 to 66 with an average income exceeding $65,000. Its top markets include major cities like New York, Los Angeles, and Chicago.
Roth highlighted that investment in Fiji’s agricultural and tourism sectors is crucial, benefiting local farmers by providing opportunities to supply produce to Wakaya Perfection. The company promises to invest in technical expertise and offer premium prices, fostering the development of a niche in the organic products market for international consumers.
With a commitment to supporting local farmers and strengthening Fiji’s agricultural exports, Wakaya Perfection is poised to enhance its reputation and contribute positively to Fiji’s economy.
This initiative not only boosts the local economy but also promotes Fiji as a source of high-quality organic products on a global stage, potentially drawing more international attention to its agricultural offerings.
