A group of over 1,400 Jehovah’s Witness volunteers gathered today at the Vodafone Arena in Suva to prepare the venue for their three-day “Declare the Good News” Special Convention starting tomorrow.
Volunteers traveled from as distant as the Western division, with some leaving as early as 4 a.m. to participate in the clean-up efforts. Jone Roracola, the Cleaning Coordinator for Jehovah’s Witnesses, expressed the group’s commitment, saying, “Our God is a clean God, and we’re happy to clean this arena so we can all enjoy associating with our delegates in this convention.”
Roracola highlighted that the participants were not compensated for their work, emphasizing their dedication: “These volunteers have given their time and effort to ensure the arena is ready before the convention begins.”
The convention is set to attract over 800 international delegates to the country. In addition to spiritual programs, attendees will also visit Yanuca Island and partake in river tubing activities. They are scheduled to attend an artisan show at the Pearl South Pacific resort as part of the experience.
The three-day Special Convention of Jehovah’s Witnesses will occur at the Vodafone Arena from August 16 to 18, with the public invited to join.
