Two companies in Fiji are collaborating to advocate for a cleaner and healthier environment. Vodafone Fiji and Waste Recyclers Fiji Limited have initiated a program named ‘I Recycle’ aimed at enhancing waste management practices in the country.
This initiative reflects Vodafone Fiji’s commitment to minimizing its environmental impact while promoting responsible waste management. Rajnesh Prasad, acting CEO of Vodafone Fiji, emphasized the importance of this collaboration during the program’s launch at the company’s headquarters in Suva.
Mr. Prasad stated, “Through this partnership, we strive to foster a cleaner, healthier, and more sustainable Fiji, beginning with our own head office in Tamavua. By collaborating with Waste Recyclers Fiji Limited, we support local waste management initiatives and encourage a sense of responsibility and community among our employees and customers.”
Amitesh Deo, founder of the Pacific Recycling Foundation, remarked that this program creates opportunities for more businesses to engage in sustainable waste management, highlighting the potential for collective efforts to lead to significant environmental and societal benefits.
