Two local companies are collaborating to advocate for a cleaner and healthier Fiji. Vodafone Fiji and Waste Recyclers Fiji Limited have launched an initiative called ‘I Recycle’ aimed at enhancing the cleanliness and health of the nation.
This initiative underscores Vodafone Fiji’s ongoing dedication to minimizing its environmental impact while promoting sustainable waste management practices. Rajnesh Prasad, the acting CEO of Vodafone Fiji, emphasized the importance of this partnership during the program’s launch at the company’s Suva headquarters yesterday.
“Through this partnership, we aim to create a cleaner, healthier, and more sustainable Fiji, beginning with our head office in Tamavua,” Mr. Prasad stated. He further noted that collaborating with Waste Recyclers Fiji Limited not only supports local waste management efforts but also encourages a sense of responsibility and community involvement among employees and customers.
Amitesh Deo, founder of the Pacific Recycling Foundation, commented that this program paves the way for greater business engagement in sustainable waste management, showcasing how collaborative efforts can lead to substantial improvements for both the environment and society.
