Two local businesses have joined forces to advocate for a cleaner and healthier Fiji. Vodafone Fiji and Waste Recyclers Fiji Limited are launching a program titled ‘I Recycle’ aimed at maintaining cleanliness and promoting health throughout the nation.

This initiative underlines Vodafone Fiji’s ongoing dedication to minimizing its environmental impact and encouraging sustainable waste management strategies. Rajnesh Prasad, the acting chief executive officer of Vodafone Fiji, emphasized this commitment during the program’s launch at the company’s headquarters in Suva.

“Through this partnership, we aspire to foster a cleaner, healthier, and more sustainable Fiji, starting with our own head office in Tamavua,” stated Mr. Prasad. He added that by collaborating with Waste Recyclers Fiji Limited, the company is not only aiding local waste management efforts but also enhancing a sense of responsibility and community among its staff and customers.

Amitesh Deo, founder of the Pacific Recycling Foundation, remarked that this program paves the way for greater business participation in sustainable waste management and illustrates the powerful impact of collective efforts on the environment and society.
