Two local businesses have joined forces to advocate for a cleaner and healthier Fiji. Vodafone Fiji and Waste Recyclers Fiji Limited are launching a new initiative called “I Recycle” aimed at improving environmental conditions in the country.
This initiative underscores Vodafone Fiji’s dedication to minimizing its environmental impact and encouraging sustainable waste management practices. During the program’s launch at the company’s headquarters in Suva, Vodafone Fiji’s acting CEO Rajnesh Prasad emphasized the partnership’s goals.
“We aim to establish a cleaner, healthier, and more sustainable Fiji, beginning with our headquarters in Tamavua,” Mr. Prasad stated. He added that the collaboration with Waste Recyclers Fiji Limited not only strengthens local waste management efforts but also promotes a shared sense of responsibility and community among employees and customers.
Amitesh Deo, founder of the Pacific Recycling Foundation, expressed that this initiative paves the way for increased corporate involvement in sustainable waste management, showcasing the positive impact of collective efforts on both the environment and society.
