Two companies in Fiji have joined forces to advocate for a cleaner and healthier environment. Vodafone Fiji and Waste Recyclers Fiji Limited are launching a new initiative called ‘I Recycle’ aimed at promoting cleanliness and health across the nation.
This initiative reflects Vodafone Fiji’s ongoing efforts to minimize its ecological impact and encourage sustainable waste management. During the program’s launch at the company’s headquarters in Suva, acting CEO Rajnesh Prasad emphasized their commitment to these goals.
“With this partnership, we aspire to build a cleaner, healthier, and more sustainable Fiji, starting from our headquarters in Tamavua,” Mr. Prasad stated. He also noted that collaborating with Waste Recyclers Fiji Limited not only supports local waste management efforts but also cultivates a sense of responsibility and community spirit among employees and customers.
Amitesh Deo, founder of the Pacific Recycling Foundation, expressed that this program paves the way for increased business participation in sustainable waste management and illustrates how collaborative efforts can lead to substantial environmental and societal improvements.
