Two local companies have joined forces to advocate for a cleaner and healthier Fiji. Vodafone Fiji and Waste Recyclers Fiji Limited are launching a program named ‘I Recycle’ aimed at maintaining cleanliness and promoting health in Fiji. This initiative aligns with Vodafone Fiji’s ongoing efforts to minimize its environmental footprint and encourage sustainable waste management practices.
During the program’s launch at the company’s headquarters in Suva, acting CEO Rajnesh Prasad emphasized the importance of this partnership. “Through this collaboration, we aspire to create a cleaner, healthier, and more sustainable Fiji, starting from our head office in Tamavua,” Mr. Prasad stated. He added that by partnering with Waste Recyclers Fiji Limited, they are supporting local waste management initiatives and instilling a sense of responsibility and community among employees and customers.
Amitesh Deo, founder of the Pacific Recycling Foundation, noted that this initiative paves the way for greater business participation in sustainable waste management, highlighting how collective efforts can lead to substantial environmental and societal benefits.
