Two local firms have joined forces to advocate for a cleaner and healthier Fiji. Vodafone Fiji and Waste Recyclers Fiji Limited have launched a program named ‘I Recycle’ aimed at promoting cleanliness and health in the region.
This initiative underscores Vodafone Fiji’s ongoing dedication to minimizing its environmental impact and encouraging sustainable waste management practices. During the program’s launch at the company’s headquarters in Suva, Vodafone Fiji’s acting CEO Rajnesh Prasad emphasized the partnership’s goals.
“Through this partnership, we aim to create a cleaner, healthier, and more sustainable Fiji, starting with our very own head office in Tamavua,” stated Mr. Prasad. He added that collaborating with Waste Recyclers Fiji Limited not only supports local waste management but also nurtures a sense of accountability and community among staff and customers.
Amitesh Deo, the founder of the Pacific Recycling Foundation, noted that this program paves the way for greater business involvement in sustainable waste management and illustrates how collective efforts can lead to substantial environmental and societal improvements.
