Two local businesses are collaborating to advocate for a cleaner and healthier Fiji. Vodafone Fiji and Waste Recyclers Fiji Limited have launched a program named ‘I Recycle’ aimed at contributing to environmental cleanliness and health in the country.

This initiative underscores Vodafone Fiji’s commitment to minimizing its environmental impact and encouraging sustainable waste management practices. During the program’s launch at the company’s Suva headquarters, acting CEO Rajnesh Prasad emphasized their goals.

“Our partnership seeks to foster a cleaner, healthier, and more sustainable Fiji, starting from our own head office in Tamavua,” Mr. Prasad stated. “By collaborating with Waste Recyclers Fiji Limited, we are not only assisting local waste management efforts but also nurturing a sense of responsibility and community among our employees and customers.”

Amitesh Deo, founder of the Pacific Recycling Foundation, expressed that this program paves the way for greater business engagement in sustainable waste management, illustrating how collective efforts can lead to significant enhancements for both the environment and society.
