Fijian winger Vinaya Habosi, who was recalled after a domestic violence investigation, made a notable return by scoring for Racing 92 in their victory over Vannes in the French Top 14 on Saturday.
Habosi’s goal came in the first half, nearly three weeks following his arrest due to a dispute with his wife. The 24-year-old has faced disciplinary measures from the Parisian club, which includes attending a domestic violence program.
His contribution helped Racing to come back and secure a 27-24 win, marking their second win in five games this season and easing pressure on head coach Stuart Lancaster, formerly of England and Leinster. Meanwhile, Vannes, in their first season in the top division, remain at the bottom of the table after suffering their fourth defeat of the season.
