Verata House emerged victorious in the Druavesi Golf Tournament, claiming the championship title from the previous winners, Rewa House, last Friday at the Fiji Golf Club in Vatuwaqa, Suva. The triumphant team recorded an impressive overall net score of 132, narrowly defeating Rewa House, which finished in second place with a net score of 132.75. Bau House secured third place with a net score of 138.25.
Ratu Isoa Gavidi, captain of the winning house, expressed his joy and pride following the victory. He emphasized the significance of teamwork and resilience, stating that the win reflects the dedication of Verata House. “This victory is a testament to the resilience, teamwork, and commitment of Verata House,” Gavidi noted. The tournament also featured alumni from various schools participating in the School of Origin competition. The team from Marist Old Boys (MOB) Team One secured first place with a net score of 57.25, followed closely by MOB Team Two with a score of 58, and the Labasa College Old Scholars taking third with a net score of 62.185.
