Unveiling the Story Behind Fiji’s Rugby Dream: The Rise of the Drua

The Fijian Drua has unveiled a new book titled “The Rise of the Drua – How A Rugby Dream Captivated A Nation,” authored by noted rugby commentator Greg Clark and veteran sports journalist Norman Tasker.

This book traces the origins and development of the club over the past 25 years, exploring its creation amid the COVID-19 pandemic and its rise within the Super Rugby Pacific framework.

The story highlights the team’s difficult journey, including the challenges faced during relocations and the efforts of players and staff, culminating in their eventual return to Fiji.

It pays tribute to the resilience and commitment of those connected to the team, including players, coaches, sponsors, and fans, who are celebrated as among the best globally.

Beyond the Drua’s athletic accomplishments, the book captures the passion and spirit that fuel their success.

It includes exclusive interviews, new insights, and never-before-seen photographs, along with behind-the-scenes narratives.

Set to be released on October 11th, the book will be sold at various retail locations, priced at FJ$35 for the paperback and FJ$50 for the hardback edition.
