Unveiling the Spirit of Fijian Rugby: The Rise of the Drua

The Fijian Drua is making headlines once again with the launch of a new book that tells the story of the club’s origins. Authored by prominent rugby commentator Greg Clark along with seasoned sports journalist Norman Tasker, the book, titled “The Rise of the Drua – How A Rugby Dream Captivated A Nation,” provides fans with a closer look at the inspiring journey that spans approximately 25 years.

“The Rise of the Drua” details how the team was formed during the peak of the COVID pandemic and its extraordinary rise in Super Rugby Pacific. It narrates the struggles and successes faced by the club, players, and staff as they adapted through relocations and returned home to Fiji.

The book pays tribute to the players, coaches, sponsors, and loyal fans who have quickly made the Drua one of the most cherished teams in the league.

Highlighting the emotional rollercoaster of their journey, the publication features exclusive interviews, revealing insights, previously unseen photographs, and behind-the-scenes stories that vividly illustrate the Drua’s experience.

The paperback edition will be priced at $35 (VIP), while the hardback edition will be available for $50 (VIP).
