The Fijian Drua has launched a new book detailing the club’s formation and journey. Authored by renowned rugby commentator Greg Clark and seasoned sports journalist Norman Tasker, the book titled “The Rise of the Drua – How A Rugby Dream Captivated A Nation” provides fans with an insight into two decades of development.
The narrative explores how the team was formed amid the challenges presented by the COVID pandemic and highlights its remarkable rise within Super Rugby Pacific. It recounts the experiences of the club, players, and staff as they faced relocation challenges and ultimately returned to Fiji.
Covering their early beginnings and significant achievements, this publication serves as a tribute to the players, coaches, staff, sponsors, and dedicated fans who have quickly made the Drua a beloved team in the league.
The book encapsulates the emotion, perseverance, and pride that have characterized their journey, featuring exclusive interviews, revealing insights, previously unseen photographs, and behind-the-scenes stories that enhance the Drua’s narrative.
