The Fijian Drua is making waves once again with the launch of a new book detailing the club’s inception and journey. Authored by prominent rugby commentator Greg Clark and seasoned sports writer Norman Tasker, the book, titled “The Rise of the Drua – How A Rugby Dream Captivated A Nation,” offers readers an in-depth account of the inspiring 25-year journey of the club.
This publication highlights the formation of the team amidst the challenges of the COVID pandemic and its impressive rise in Super Rugby Pacific. It chronicles the experiences of the club, players, and staff as they faced various hardships, including frequent relocations, before ultimately returning to Fiji.
From the beginnings of the Drua to their celebrated achievements, the book honors the players, coaches, staff, sponsors, and dedicated fans who have quickly made the team one of the most beloved in the league.
