Lemeki Cagialau, the Executive Director of the National Council of Persons with Disabilities, alongside other speakers, highlighted the significance of fostering meaningful inclusivity in both business and society. Mr. Cagialau noted Fiji’s advancements in inclusion for people with disabilities, especially following the ratification of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD) and the establishment of supportive legislation. However, he urged that policy reforms are still crucial for ensuring full participation of individuals with disabilities in all societal aspects.

In honor of this year’s International Day for Persons with Disabilities, FCEF reaffirmed its commitment by donating $5,000 to the Council, underscoring its dedication to building a more inclusive society.
