The Tertiary Scholarships and Loans Service (TSLS) has announced the opening of registrations for the Fiji Government scholarships for the 2025 academic year, which began on the 2nd of this month.
Students who have already registered are encouraged to upload their Year 13 exam results along with a final offer letter from their chosen Tertiary Education Institution (TEI). It’s important to note that TSLS will not consider applications based on provisional offer letters.
Acting Chief Executive Officer Avinay Kumar emphasized that applicants who have yet to register should do so, as the application window will close on January 31 of next year. TSLS also notes that 2024 Year 13 students should apply as soon as possible, as some scholarships have limited quotas.
Once an application is submitted, it will progress to the processing stage, where it will be assessed against eligibility criteria. Applicants will receive notifications about the outcome of their applications via the email used during registration, and they can also check their application status on the TSLS Online Application Portal.
Additionally, TSLS advises students to thoughtfully choose their academic programs by considering the job market and potential employment opportunities.
This initiative provides a valuable opportunity for students to secure financial assistance for their higher education and emphasizes the importance of informed decision-making regarding academic and career paths. The support offered through these scholarships encourages students to pursue their educational goals while being mindful of future job prospects.
