“Unleashing Talent: Primary School Interhouse Sets Stage for Zone Competitions”

Approximately 900 students participated in Marist Brothers Primary School’s interhouse event yesterday.

The interhouse competition was held at the HFC Bank Stadium in Suva, with the aim of identifying athletes for the school’s squad for the upcoming Suva Zone and eventually the Chow Games.

MBPS Sports Coordinator Vitori Rasaqa explained that they had to request a break from their sports commitments, such as Suva Kaji, to host their interhouse event.

“This week we are holding our interhouse to ensure we have sufficient time to prepare for next term’s Chow Games. This will give us the opportunity to thoroughly select and train our squad for Suva Zone 1 and eventually the Chow Games,” he stated.

Last year, 70 athletes from the school competed in the combined Suva Zone 1 team, where they triumphed in the boys’ division.

“This year we aim to include as many athletes as possible in the Suva team. We just have to train them well and get them ready,” Rasaqa added.
