“Unity Fiji Launches National Campaigns: What’s Next?”

Unity Fiji launched two national campaigns during its AGM in Tavua Village recently.

The first campaign aims to legally contest the 2013 Constitution, while the second targets combatting corruption. The party plans to launch a third campaign soon, focusing on the fight against drugs.

Party leader Savenaca Narube highlighted their integrated transformation plan to grow the resource-based sector, which aims to diversify the economy and reduce the growing disparity between the rich and the poor. He emphasized that if this program proves effective, it could significantly change the nation’s trajectory.

Narube also addressed political developments in the country. The party plans to engage voters actively throughout their campaigns, appoint a strong line-up of candidates promptly, assemble a robust media team, and strengthen their financial position, learning from the 2022 election.

The AGM approved proposed revisions to the party’s constitution to enhance disciplinary procedures and governance. The party’s audited financial accounts for 2023 were also approved during the meeting.
