Underdog Nasinu Stuns Ba in 1-0 Victory – Drama Unfolds on Pitch!

Nasinu triumphed over football giants Ba with a 1-0 victory on their home ground during Round 12 of the Digicel Fiji Premier League, capitalizing on a clever set piece that resulted in Adriu Nabose scoring.

Nasinu secured an early lead in the 11th minute when youngster Maikah Dau delivered a free-kick to Solomon Islander Don Keana in the attacking zone. Keana then set up Nabose for an easy tap-in goal.

The match saw tensions rise at the Fiji FA Ba Academy grounds when Nasinu’s Savenaca Nakalevu threw punches at Kalaveti Sivoi and tried to engage with the fans, leading to his red card expulsion.

Despite having a numerical advantage, Ba couldn’t seize the opportunity, and the halftime score stood at 1-0 in favor of Nasinu.

In the second half, Ba attempted to change their fortunes with multiple substitutions, but their plight worsened when Sivoi also received a red card in the 65th minute.

Both teams were reduced to 10 men, and the score remained 1-0 until the final whistle.
